Anguilla crush St. Kitts in Leewards Under-19 tournament - Sun St.Kitts/Nevis

THE VALLEY, Anguilla – Anguilla completed a hat-trick of victories in the 2007 Leeward Islands Under-19 cricket tournament when they beat St. Kitts by 66 runs in their limited overs match at Webster Park on Saturday.
Sixteen-year-old left-arm spinner and opening batsman Chesney Hughes bagged four for 32 from nine overs including two maidens as the Kittitians were restricted to 122 all out in 38.1 overs in reply to Anguilla’s 188 for nine from 50 overs.
Hughes received good support from fellow slow bowler Nordel Lake, who picked up two for 22 with his off-spin, and fast bowler Kelbert Walters (2-19).

Only left-hander Anthony Caines with 25 and Andres Norford (20) posted any noteworthy contributions with the bat for the Kittitians.
Earlier, right handed batsman Rondel Lake hit 50 from 104 balls including six boundaries for the home side.
Walters, batting at No. six, blasted his way to an unbeaten 48 with five fours from 74 deliveries.
Captain and spinner Terrence Warde was the best of the St. Kitts bowlers, taking three for 25 from 10 overs, with two wickets each for medium pacer Shino Berridge and off break bowler Nelson Challenger.
Anguilla, by virtue of achieving wins over St. Maarten, United States Virgin Islands (USVI) and St. Kitts, topped their group.
According to local officials, the Anguillians will meet Antigua & Barduda, who won the other group, in the final at a venue to be determined by the Leewards Islands Cricket ***ociation (LICA).
