ANGUILLA, British West Indies - Arawak Energy (TSX:ABG), a junior oil and gas company with operations in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia, reported Thursday a third-quarter profit of US$7.8 million, up from a year-earlier US$5.8 million.
The company, based in
Anguilla in the British West Indies, reports its results in U.S. dollars. Net earnings for the quarter amounted to 4.4 cents and compared with earnings of 3.4 cents in the year-earlier period.
Average production for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was 11,125 barrels of oil equivalent per day, versus a year-ago 8,791 barrels.
Sales grew to $56.6 million from $39.6 million.
