Anguilla (CMC) – A fighting knock of 49 by Leeward Islands batsman Montcin Hodge failed to save his club side Cap Juluca from a 24-run defeat against the Masters in their
Anguilla Cricket ***ociation league match at the Ronald Webster Park over the weekend.
Hodge, also a member of
Anguilla’s Stanford 20/20 Pro Team, could only manage three boundaries in 60 balls as his team fell for 142 in 26.4 overs in reply to the Masters 166 all out from 30 overs.
Fellow Pro Team player opener Lyndel Richardson scored 25 from 30 balls with three fours while medium pacer Simba Bowen, himself a member of the Pro Team squad, managed 20 off 26 balls.

Former national team captain Lawrence Carty captured two for 17 and Kali Rogers finished with two for 23.
Earlier, Keith Carty stroked a top score of 37, Lawrence Carty hit 29 and Kali Rogers scored 26 to lead the Masters to their eventual total.
Bowen bagged three for 41 and was well supported by Eldon Daniel with two for 30.
In another match, opener Brian Hull hammered an unbeaten 85 off 58 balls including 16 fours and one six, to spur Police to an eight-wicket win over Nature Boys.
