Puerto Rico top Anguilla in Caribbean Women’s Under-17 Qualifier - Breaking News

Puerto Rico opened Group C of the Caribbean Women’s Under-17 Qualification by topping Anguilla 7:0 at the Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel in Bayamón on Wednesday.

Adriana Goiricelaya led the offense for the Boricuas scoring four goals, while Cossette Andujar, Nikadeniz Melendez and Natalia Micheletti each added another in the victory.

Caribbean Group C continues two days later (16 November) at the Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel when Anguilla faces Bermuda. The triangular concludes on Sunday (18 November) with Puerto Rico hosting Bermuda.

The Group C winner will join the first-place finishers of the other Groups (A & B) as the three Caribbean qualifiers to the 2008 CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship.

The CONCACAF tournament, which dates and venue to be determined, also includes Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico and USA, where three teams will qualify to the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women’s Cup New Zealand 2008.
