Anguilla (CMC) – Top Anguillan cyclist Claude Richardson produced a late surge to win the OECS race in
Anguilla yesterday.
Cheered on by scores of home supporters, Richardson crossed the finish line first in two hours and 44 minutes, after riders from Grenada and St. Lucia led the charge for seven of the nine laps in hot, humid conditions.
Tyrone Thomas of Grenada finished second in 2:44.05 hours ahead of St. Lucian Winston Williams in 2:44.15.
Antigua and Barbuda’s Jyme Bridges finished fourth in the race with Danny Laud of
Anguilla following.
