SeaDream Yacht Club to Discontinue South American Itineraries in 2008
The SeaDream II will be redeployed next winter from South America to the Caribbean, sailing 5- and 9-day itineraries.
The small ship luxury operator cited a multitude of unexpected operational challenges encountered during its inaugural season in South America prompted the decision not to return.The 55 stateroom SeaDream II will use St. Thomas and San Juan as embarkation-debarkation ports. She will sail to such ports as Cruz Bay, St. John; Gustavia, St. Barts; Road Town, Tortola and Peter Island BVI; Spanish Town and North Sound, Virgin Gorda; Culebrita and Esperanza, Vieques, Puerto Rico; Anegada, BVI; Saba, Netherlands Antilles; Charlestown, Nevis;
Anguilla, BWI; Margot, St. Martin and Jost van Dyke, BVI. Although these Caribbean ports sound fascinating, I am sure there are many who will be disappointed to not have the opportunity to sail South America on this marvelous small ship.
P***engers currently booked on affected voyages will be provided the opportunity to rebook on Caribbean or Mediterranean SeaDream Yacht Club voyages of their choice. Should they prefer to cancel with a full refund that too will be possible.
